The ESC and stack are good. I like the quality and dimensions of the parts. The listing says it comes with (1x Capacitor) Which is a dinky little 450μF capacitor. I figured that for 6S it would be good, so i used it and made sure to get the polarities right. Pos-Pos and Neg-Neg. Using a smoke stopper I kept getting issues, i tried to change the setup and move things around in the frame. Eventually, I unplugged the FC from the ESC and plugged it in after I checked that there were no issues with the smoke stopper. The cap blew up in my face and sprayed capacitor juice all over the frame and the table.
[!!! To Rotor Riot, your components are great, but If you're going to rate this ESC for being capable of 8S! please include a larger capacitor !!!]
Overall the ESC looks good, wires up easy and has some nice and large pads to soldier. But, it gets touchy when using it with the Brave F7 FC. I had ESC 1 burn out on the board. AM32 config would show it exists but the ESC wouldn’t respond to “read” requests.
I installed and they explained me how too programming it I have a problem with one motor but they help me to find out what was the problem
I put a lot of flux, I cleaned up and my drone fly great
Great ESC!
Would have been great if they sent me the right item then immediately didnt go out of stock. Then not responding when im trying to make a return, meanwhile my drone has been out for a month cause i was waiting on parts from them. So now I have no idea if ill get my money back cause they are taking so long to respond to my emails thay it might go passed their 15 day return policy and i cant buy another one in the meantime. Spent a lot of money here and the service has been less than great on this end.
