Got so hot it melted the solder

I tried this on a 7in quad 8s. I bench tested the motor and prop for this setup to 38A at max throttle, so 152A total for the whole quad.
During flight the Brave ESC got so hot that the solder around the current sensing resistor and the battery terminals melted and caused a crash. There was plenty of airflow at 95mph.
This product is NOT able to handle 55A per motor. Know before you buy.

Great start!

I haven't flown it long but when I was ripping hard, it was going! So far I've only flown on 6s. Needs gummies that work

Is this supposed to work? READ BEFORE BUY

I wired up the ESC and plugged it into my test rig (yes, I have a test rig)
It wouldn't go past 50% power - it shuts down, probably due to some internal heat protection (the AM32 setting is disabled).
I lowered the power to 20% or so, and the motor started oscillating - faster-slower-faster-slower. Lowering the power to 10%, the motor ran for about a minute. At that point the power supply was showing 1.6A, BF was showing fluctuations is current about 0.7-1A, and the ESC was HOT! I took an IR picture and the port being tested on the ESC was 178F! At 1Amp!
