The Hypetrain Freestyle Motor is the first official product designed by Rotor Riot! Ride the Hype Train with the Hypetrain!
Designed from the ground up with constant input from our best pilots, the attention to detail of the Hypetrain Freestyle motor sets it apart from the competition. Inspired by the iconic Rotor Riot logo, the Hypetrain’s three-spoke 7075 aluminum bell showcases the elegant silver coated wire wound over the orange stator.
We love stylish design - but performance is the priority. That’s why we thoroughly considered every aesthetic decision, to ensure that it would not negatively impact the performance of the motor. And just to be extra sure, every motor gets individually tested before it leaves the factory! This guarantees that each motor will not only look nice, but also perform well!
As far as performance, the Hypetrain Freestyle is built around a 2306 stator, with single strand windings that give it a KV rating of about 2450 RPM per Volt. In other words, plenty of power and good efficiency! To ensure reliability, we opted to use high quality silicone wires for the motor leads.
The “open bottom” style base allows for considerable weight reduction and improved cooling, and the revolutionary 16x16 mm mounting screw pattern opens up new design possibilities while still maintaining backwards compatibility with legacy frames. Moreover, we wanted it to have a set screw to hold the bell rather than a C-clip, to facilitate motor cleaning and maintenance!

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been shipped. Please note that processing times may be slightly longer during high-demand periods or sales events.

Yes, we offer international shipping to most countries. Shipping rates and delivery times vary depending on the destination. Any applicable customs duties or taxes will be the responsibility of the recipient.

We are happy to accept returns at Rotor Riot. As long as your item qualifies based on the guidelines below, you can print out a return form, fill out the requested information, and send the items back to us with the return form included. Once we have the package we will verify that the below guidelines are met, and then issue your refund. If you received an incorrect item, or if your item is defective it is not a return, and you will need to contact customer support to open a ticket. If you have any further questions about how this process is handled please contact customer support for details.
- An item is eligible for return if it is new and unopened. This means that all of the original manufacturer’s packaging is still intact.
- Returns need to be shipped back to us within 15 days of receiving the items for a full refund. After this time you will only be eligible for store credit. (All DJI Avata Bundles must be returned within 7 days)
- Refunds are only issued after the item has been received and processed by our staff. This can take up to 3 business days after we receive the package.
- Once a refund is approved you will be notified by email. Please allow up to three days for this to be processed by your banking institution.
- Built-to-order drones that are returned are subject to a 25% restocking fee. If an order is returned to us due to customs or import fees not being paid the items are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- Returns will always go back into the account that was used at checkout.
