I purchased the VTX from rotor riot. Although their product page shows V1, I received V2. You can tell which one you have based on the PCB layout, most notably the LEDs are on the long side for V2 instead of the short side for V1. Foxeer has a product page for both versions. There is a short instruction manual available by scanning the QR code on the bag it comes in. There is also some information at the bottom of the specifications section of the foxeer product page. Most people probably use the TRAMP connection to control the VTX with the FC, but I need to control the VTX with the button.
The are several areas of my VTX operation where the documentation is not correct. The procedure to change channel, band, and power are slightly different. Also, I have not been able to make sense of the statement on the product page about unlocking the frequencies and power; there is not information about what is the "locked" or "unlocked" state. Also, my unit seems to have the physical location of the blue and green LEDs reversed when compared to the foxeer product pictures, which made it very confusing to figure out.
Control using the button and LEDs goes as follows:
Normal display mode: Each LED blinks from 1-4, 1-9, or 1-8 times, indicating the power, band, and channel, respectively.
1 press enters channel selection mode. Blinks number 1-8. Single press to change channel.
Long press enters band selection mode. Blinks band number. (This seems to not stop at the number of bands, which is 9. It keeps going up past ~18 blinks if you keep pressing the button so I'm not sure what is going on there. It seems to reset when I do the power selection mode described below).
Very long press until red LED lights then turns off. Enters power selection mode. Blinks 1 to 4 for 25/100/200/350mW.
Let sit for ~5 s and goes back to normal display.
Double click button to turn on/off pit mode. When pit mode is on, red LED is off. LED blinking means it is outputing power, indicated by the number of blinks.
