Sick looking with the RR gimbals. Totally adjustable. You just have to take the back off to see what’s going on. Warning” it will void your warranty. But, you gotta do what you gotta do…. Swapped up the sticks with a 3rd party brand. That metal was ripping my thumb and fingers up. I really like the two buttons on top now but the positioning of the switches are more on the face and not slightly offset between the front and top of the controller making disarming an issue with me while flying and landing. I ended up using the top left button as my arm/disarm and it seems to be just fine that way. My fingers just can’t hit that front left switch to disarm when flying. lol. Took a night to get fully comfortable with how everything is categorized inside but I was able to update it and get the newest lua script added and got it to work. It Just seem to still be having issues with its WiFi not coming up on my Mac. But again, I did get it to update and work.
Swapping out the gimbals will not void the warranty unless you damaged something while installing the new gimbals, Radiomaster sells the AGO1 gimbals as a direct swap for their radios from the Factory and the 'Right to Repair' laws in the US make it so manufacturers are unable to void a warranty simply for opening the case of a device.
Had to disassemble the radio right out of the box! Some wiring was pinched and caused a short. Power button also gets stuck in sometimes. Nice gimbals though.
Best Controller they make! I love my TX-16 but this one is so much more functional and less fragile. The custom AO1 gimbles are awesome too
I wanted a radio smaller than my Tx16s that I could throw in my backpack with my quads.
The Boxer Max was out of stock almost everywhere, but Rotor Riot had this bad boy in stock.
The gimbals needed a bit of adjustment to feel right, but now they're as smooth as the AG01s in my Tx16s.
With the LED lights it's a better value than the Boxer Max, and other than the kickstand (that I'd personally never use) and the carbon face, it's the same radio.
Of all the options available this one towers above the rest.
