Bought this drone through their FATSHARK dominator HD kit, great kit value to be fair. I flew the drone maybe a dozen times or so before I had a VTX blackout and a battery wire come off, I didn't not freestyle or abuse this drone whatsoever for context. I do not currently solder or have the skills to repair my own stuff yet and i saw that RR OFFERS REPAIRS... so for a guy in my position i took advantage of this. I sent the drone off and RR got back to me saying they also agreed with my complaints and that the battery wire needed fixing and the VTX was replaced. I paid for shipping and $120 for a new walksnail vtx. I get the drone back and get everything bound together and conduct 3-4 low flying hover tests, all only a few seconds long. I put the drone away and set the next day as an actual fly day, the next day comes and I find that #4 motor does not spin.... I find that a wire completely detached from #4 motor can after 3-4 hover tests.... the drone hasn't even been flown yet and its broken again. I contact RR again with my issue and the take the drone back for repair. Whoever the repairer was gets back to me and says the ESC blew and it needs a new IAO... doesn't mention the motor issue i sent it in for at all... for context i sent pictures of the wire and a description of my issues. they again "fix" the issue.. mind you when a company fixes their product they SHOULD test the product to make sure everything works before sending it off back to their customer. I get the drone back and right out of the box none of the motors work, zero life out of them. I have received the drone back worse then when I sent it out. Narrowed it down to an ACTUAL ESC issue. i do not know what their QC process is but i literally received a "repaired" drone that didn't work at all. I don't think ill be doing business with this company again as this experience has been terrible and has put a bad taste in my mouth for someone JUST getting into this hobby and shelled out a good amount of one on a set up that should be hardy enough to hover a few seconds without self destructing... there are MUCH cheaper made drones that hold up better than this almost $400 dollar drone. when this drone did fly it was a joy to use and I seriously wish RR would care enough about their customer and keep them confident in the return of business and ACTUALLY REPAIR the drone. Please do not offer a repair service if I continuously receive the drone back worse then when i sent it out.
